Brands cannot nominate themselves. All brands with a relevant market share participate in the research. This ensures impartiality, transparency, and a fair competition. Consumers have the final say and decide the winner.

Consumers, based on everything brands and companies demonstrate over an extended period, determine whether a brand is socially responsible or engaging in so-called "greenwashing."

The Green Hero award recognizes brands and companies that make sincere and tangible efforts for a better future for all of us. The award cannot be bought – consumers hold the power in their hands and determine the winners in each category.

For the integrity of the research, there is no option for registration in the panel. The research is conducted by an independent research company on a statistically representative sample in each country where the Green Hero award is presented. If there were an option for registration, it would compromise the quality and impartiality of the research.
